I was very suspiscious as to how this can be legal, however I have also seen the "benefits" of these cafes. I have seen people out there just relaxing, having a good wholesome time with others. I've had a good friend comment that her parents would not even go out of there house now they visit this cafe sometimes 3-4 times a week and are enjoying life again. Our town's cafe is kept very clean, they have compliment food like hot dogs, popcorn, snacks, coffee and soda. It really is a "gathering space" for friends, family etc. Personally i think they are fantastic....I do believe at some point it would probably be a smart, good idea to limit what a person can spend on a daily basis so someone doesn't get themselves into financial difficulty.
